2007-2009

Associate Campus Minister  

BGCT – Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX
Responsible for providing leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive vision and strategy for Kingdom Growth for the campus. The Associate Campus Minister role encompasses two areas, Administration and Minister:
Administrator:  

  1. Produce measurable goals to determine progress of ministry in relation to vision and values set by Campus Minister.
  2. Maintain financial accounts related to the monthly expenditures for ministry programs.
  3. Develop and maintain alumni database making use of technology such as Constant Contact, and Facebook.
  4. Oversee monthly Newsletter to area churches.  
Minister: 

  1.  Identify, equip, and empower a Student Leadership Team to employ their talents, energies, and passions toward accomplishing vision of the ministry.
  2. Participate in overseeing Women’s Small Group Facilitator base which includes a time of prayer, accountability, developing personal plans for spiritual growth, and training related to developing healthy Small Groups.
  3. Sharing in the teaching responsibilities at weekly worship venue.
  4. Encourage the development of community through use of weekly campus wide luncheons, fellowship opportunities, personal mentoring, and making use of small group settings.
  5. Coordinate mission efforts, retreats, and Student Leadership meetings.
 

2006-2007

Interim Children’s Minister
FBC-Harlingen, Harlingen, TX

Under the guidance of the Pastor, provided leadership to the organization and implementation of ministry to children. 

 ·         Identified, equipped, and empowered a Children’s Volunteer work force to carry out the ministry functions related to reaching, and discipling children.
·         Recruited, interviewed, and hired Summer Interns.
·         Led in the development of Children’s Church. This included developing curriculum, equipping volunteers, and teaching in large and small group settings.
·         Responsible for ongoing discipleship through Children’s Sunday School. This included organizing volunteers and teaching responsibilities.
·         Initiated a Children’s New Believer class in which I taught the ordinances of the Church including baptism, Lord’s Supper, and growing in Christ through the practice of spiritual disciplines.
·         Provided oversight to the development of fellowship activities for children.
·         Participated in the development of Parenting Conferences.
·         Participated in weekly staff meetings, called Deacon meetings, and special called meetings related to Church-life.
·         Provided support to various other church ministries as directed by the Pastor.

 


2006
Summer Intern, Children’s Ministry

FBC-Harlingen, Harlingen, TX

·         Led in the development of Children’s Church. This included developing curriculum, video editing, and teaching responsibilities.
·         Organized and implemented weekly fellowship opportunities for children, which included small group Bible studies.
·         Organized and led Children’s Camp for area association, under the direction of the Children’s Minister.

 

2004-2006

Student Leadership Team, Baptist Student Ministry                                                 

Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX       

·         Equipped and Empowered Student leaders.
·         Served on BSM/BGCT State Student Leadership Team.
·         Led Spring Break Mission Trips.
·         Organized Women’s ministries, including annual retreat, Bible studies, and activities.
·         Led and shepherded a small group of women, including non-believers.
·         Served on Campus Outreach, organized Dorm Outreach
 

2004
Support Staff
Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center, Sweetwater, TX

·         Oversee Summer Staffers.
·         Provided discipleship opportunities for Summer Staffers.
·         Organized weekly recreation opportunities for campers.
·         Participated in the maintenance of camp grounds.
·         Teach and lead worship in area churches.

 
2003
Summer Intern, Children’s Ministry                                                                       
Crossroads Baptist Church, The Woodlands, TX


·         Organized Wednesday Night Bible Studies for 1st-3rd grade.
·         Participated in the development of Children’s Camp.
·         Developed children’s summer activities.
·         Planned Summer Children’s Bible studies.
·         Led in developing Puppet Ministry for summer mission opportunities.
·         Provided discipleship opportunities for Summer Interns.
